Who does the work

The people you will actually see

You are told who is on your file before you arrive, not after.

Ramakant Dwivedi

Owner & hall-in-charge

Sits at the front desk himself most days; the silence rule survives because he enforces it politely

Sunita Nishad

Floor supervisor

Runs the seat register, the lockers and the morning opening at six sharp

Aftab Ansari

Desk & printing

The forms, printouts and day-pass desk — and the person who finds you a seat

Before you ask

Questions we get

Do you provide coaching or study material?

No, and we do not pretend to. We are a hall: seat, light, fan, water, silence. Your syllabus and your books are yours. The shelf holds shared standard references and the day's newspapers, and the notice board carries exam dates we verify against the official calendars before pinning.

Is a seat guaranteed on the shared plans?

On shared plans, a seat in your slot is guaranteed — a specific seat is not; that is what the reserved plan is for. We cap shared-plan sales below hall capacity so the guarantee holds even on the fullest days. The month we cannot honour it, we stop selling — you will never stand waiting in a hall you paid for.

Why no 24-hour plan?

Because a hall open all night needs night staff, and thin staffing at 3 am is how reading rooms become unsafe, especially for women. We close at ten and open at six. An aspirant needs sleep more than a 2 am seat — that is our honest opinion, printed where you can disagree with it.
