What we do

Services & fees

Monthly fees at stated batch sizes, two classes a week unless marked. Class materials for children's batches are included; adult batches bring their own colours (list provided, buy anywhere — the school sells only the optional starter box, at cost). Entrance-exam fees for design colleges are paid by the candidate to the exam body directly.

Before you ask

Questions we get

My child shows talent. Should we aim for competitions?

If the child enjoys them, some are fine. But we will not build a childhood around certificates, and we do not enter students into competitions to decorate our own wall. The progress folder — this January against last January — tells you more than any medal, and it cannot be bought.

Can you get my daughter into NID or NIFT?

Nobody can 'get' anyone in, and an art school that claims selections is claiming the jury's chair. What the portfolio batch does: three classes a week of observation drawing, composition and timed practice on past exam patterns, and a portfolio that is genuinely hers. The entrance belongs to the exam body; the drawing belongs to her.

I am 54 and have never drawn. Is it too late?

You would be our median adult student, roughly. The watercolour batch is half beginners past fifty — retirement, it turns out, is when Kolkata finally sits down to paint. Come for the ₹100 trial class; the easel by the window does not check ages.
