One book a month, discussed over unlimited chai and bun maska. The reading list is chosen by vote at the end of each session.

Acoustic sets, poetry, stand-up — eight slots of ten minutes each. Sign up on WhatsApp by Thursday. Entry free with any order.

Our filter blend, single-estate lots from Chikmagalur and Coorg, and the house chai masala — ground to order. Free delivery on 1 kg and above.
Our story
In 2016 Meera and Arjun Kulkarni took over a shuttered darshini on 12th Main, kept its stone katte — the ledge where the neighbourhood already drank its morning coffee — and built a café around it. The brass filter from Meera's grandmother's kitchen still brews the first batch every day.
The beans come from a single estate in Chikmagalur that Arjun has visited every harvest since. The chai recipe is borrowed, with permission, from the tea stall opposite. The bakery came later, when a customer named Fatima started bringing in her croissants and never really left.

The people

Trained in Chikmagalur estates and a Mumbai roastery; runs the Saturday brewing workshops.

Laminates the croissants at 5 AM and bakes the second batch at 4 PM. Eggless is her speciality.

Thirty years of dosas, from a Malleshwaram darshini to our tawa. Judges batter by sound.

Keeps the katte, the book club list and the open-mic sign-ups. Knows every regular's order.
Regulars say
I've worked from the katte three days a week for two years. The kaapi is the best in Indiranagar, the Wi-Fi never drops, and nobody has ever asked me to leave.

Ordered the breakfast box for a team of twelve on WhatsApp at 8 AM; it was at the office by 8:40, still hot. The rose milk is dangerously good.

Came for the book club, stayed for the brownie. Now my Sunday evenings have a place. The open mic is chaotic in the best way.
