Our Story
Born on a bus to Bhuj, in 2013
Safarnama started when founder Kabir Shah missed a connecting bus to Bhuj and spent the night mapping a better route on the back of a ticket. The realisation stuck: most Indian trips fail in the boring bits — the permit queue, the wrong-season booking, the hotel that looked nothing like the photo. So we built an agency that obsesses over exactly those bits.
Twelve years on, our eleven-person crew has personally recced every circuit we sell — slept in the homestays, eaten at the dhabas, argued with the taxi unions so you never have to. We cap groups at fourteen, publish full prices, and answer the phone at 2 AM when your flight gets bumped. That's the whole business model.
