Danish Oak

FSC-certified, air-dried four years, finished in hand-rubbed oil.

Wool Bouclé

Undyed Norwegian fleece, looped weave, 96,000 rub cycles.

Patinated Brass

Hand-darkened with liver of sulphur, sealed in microcrystalline wax.

Blackened Steel

Hot-blackened plate, beeswax finish, deepens with handling.

Opal Glass

Mouth-blown in Småland; each shade carries its own faint striae.

American Walnut

Kiln-dried, bookmatched for grain symmetry, hand-rubbed oil finish.

Cognac Leather

Full-grain, vegetable-tanned in Tuscany, deepens in colour with age.

Mohair Velvet

Belgian-woven pile, 45,000 double rubs, resists crushing and shedding.

Roman Travertine

Honed and filled, quarried near Tivoli, each slab uniquely veined.

Smoked Ash

Fumed over ammonia for a fortnight, raising the grain to a soft grey.

The exhibition floor is arranged as a run of rooms, one per plate, each lit for the hour of day its piece was designed in. Private viewings include material sampling and a conversation with our registrar about provenance and care.
